Realistically, it&#8217;s in a half-dead state, in desperate need of some water. I achieved this effect by using an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ikea.com\/us\/en\/catalog\/products\/20052187\">Ikea Trampa doormat<\/a> with brown grass-like fibers as the base. Then I applied Liquitex acrylic paint (Light Green Permanent) very sloppily with a foam brush. The result looks much greener in some areas than others, just like a real lawn.
