I suppose this will overlap heavily with one of my favorite books about Vermont, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Hands-Land-History-Vermont-Landscape\/dp\/0262511282\/ref=pd_sim_b_1\">Hands on the Land: A History of the Vermont Landscape<\/a> by Jan Albers, but I don&#39;t mind.<\/p>\n<p>I am currently reading <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/The-View-From-Vermont-Landscape\/dp\/1584655917\/ref=sr_1_3?s=books&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1332510374&amp;sr=1-3\">The View from Vermont: Tourism and the Making of an American Rural Landscape<\/a> by Blake Harrison. It is about the history of tourism in the Green Mountain State starting in the mid-19th century and how the competing forces of urbanization, tourism and industrialization have shaped the landscape.
