I just figured out how to shorten Sylvia’s upper arms, while retaining the swivel motion. Basically I will be fusing the upper arm swivel joint and transferring the swivel to the elbow joint.<\/p>\n

1) FUSE upper arm swivel with Aves Apoxie Sculpt.<\/p>\n

2) CUT upper arm above elbow joint to desired length.<\/p>\n

3) CORE lower arm and upper arm with Dremel.<\/p>\n

4) SINK coated wire in lower arm, secured with hot glue or more Apoxie Sculpt. <\/p>\n

The wired lower arm can then be friction-fit into the upper arm socket, with hot glue acting as fill if the fit needs to be tighter.<\/p>\n

This process represents much the same series of mods that I did on Barrett, with two differences. First,  Barrett had no separate upper arm swivels to fuse. Second, I did not shorten his upper arms. Same principle, though. Here’s the diagram I created for Barrett.<\/p>\n
