She thinks the stand upon which she is currently suspended may not be rigid enough to support her. I’m inclined to agree, especially as it’s made for a doll with legs that touch the ground, which Xandy obviously does not have. I should probably just have a hemispherical crinoline out of wire, open in the front, to serve as her stand and carousel surround, but I’m not there yet.<\/p>\n

Anyway, to start from the beginning, I used existing materials to get a vague idea of what Xandy might look like. Her outfit will not be this bloodstained ballgown, but it will have a similar macabre air and similar volume. Palette will be darker and skirts longer, though, more like panniers, to accommodate the creepy carousel beneath. I think she’ll be about that far off the ground, which, as you can see from comparison to an average 1:6 scale Cy Girl [on the 2.0 body with legs and feet], puts her at about 13 inches high.<\/p>\n

I got this doll for her face, as i love her large skijump nose and knowing smirk. However, the more I study her, the more I see that her current hair distracts from all the facial features that I want to, uh, feature.<\/p>\n

I’m gonna have to pull out her hair, which will go into the large pile of default parts that I will never use for this doll. I have already set aside her entire outfit except for her cape and mask, her weapons, her legs and feet, her hands and probably some other stuff that I forgot. That means I paid like $150.00 for a hairless head. Ah well, it’s a nice head.<\/p>\n

Xandy should have an updo instead of this wonderfully purple, but wretchedly distracting, bob. Since I’ve been on a digital Rococo kick recently, I wonder if Xandy should have a hot air balloon like Zabby<\/a> for hair! Maybe I could 3D print it…<\/p>\n
