{"id":3717,"date":"2014-08-11T17:28:00","date_gmt":"2014-08-11T21:28:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/oddpla.net\/modernwizard\/?p=3717"},"modified":"2015-03-27T14:32:24","modified_gmt":"2015-03-27T18:32:24","slug":"walker-3-0-completed-millions-rejoice","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/oddpla.net\/modernwizard\/2014\/08\/11\/walker-3-0-completed-millions-rejoice\/","title":{"rendered":"Walker 3.0 completed; millions rejoice"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I finally got the wheels for Peter&#8217;s walker in the mail today, ordered from a supplier of remote-control vehicles and supplies, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rcplanet.com\/\">RC Planet.<\/a> I mounted one wheel on each foot of the walker with a piece of plastic-coated wire hot glued in a hole that I drilled through the side of each leg.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.oddpla.net\/blog\/dolls\/peter\/walker\/14.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.oddpla.net\/blog\/dolls\/peter\/walker\/15.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.oddpla.net\/blog\/dolls\/peter\/walker\/16.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Sure, it&#8217;s wobbly, without a right angle in the piece, not to mention an unrealistically neon shade of orange, but it&#8217;s a fucking walker. After an arduous, tedious and unrewarding slog, I have finally made a 1:6 scale walker.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.oddpla.net\/blog\/dolls\/peter\/walker\/17.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Looks like I&#8217;ll be making more too. I ordered way more wheels than I needed, so I&#8217;m well stocked for future mobility aids. All I can say is that, now that I have successfully made one 1:6 scale walker, future exemplars should be much easier.
