You know how the term &quot;trunk&quot; [for storage in a car] came about because early cars did indeed have trunks strapped to their rears? Apparently the term &quot;horn&quot; came about because, at one time, cars really had horns.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.oddpla.net\/blog\/cars\/08092014\/34.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>1929 Plymouth U Touring Car, 4 cylinder, Wendall and Mary Noble, Milton, VT. When we were ready to go home, we approached the information desk, looking for a golf cart to transport us back to the parking lot. Mary Noble said that she couldn&#8217;t locate us a golf cart, but that her husband would drive us back to our car in theirs.
