This bundle contains 4 hairstyles, Ailsa, Beileag, Liziko, and Zsoka, representing some popular hairdos for Western women in the 1820s [plus or minus a few years], constructed with reference to period likenesses. Updos inspired by those of Ancient Greece were popular, so there were a lot of headbands, curls gathered at the crown of the head, and loose ringlets artfully dangling down the neck.

Ailsa has 7 material presets for the hair, 4 for the band, and 8 movement and styling morphs.

Beileag has 7 material presets for the hair, along with 9 movement and styling morphs.

Liziko has 6 material presets for the hair, 3 for the bands, and 8 movement and styling morphs.

Zsoka has 8 material presets for the hair, along with 10 movement and style morphs.

NOTE: My amateur construction of these hairstyles depends on lots of little high-poly curls, so they hog resources. But hey, they look nice. :p

LOCATION

After installation, find the items in My Library > People > Genesis 2 Female > Hair > ModernWizard, in folders labeled Ailsa, Beileag, Liziko, and Zsoka.

DESCRIPTION

This bundle contains three historical hairdos modeled with reference to period

portraits. Elisheva, Elspeth, and Sibeal are all updos in which the front of the

hair is parted in the center and combed smooth against the scalp and the back is

secured in a bun or braids. Elisheva and Elspeth show the popular “wings” of hair at

the sides of the head, which sometimes covered the ears.

Elisheva, Elspeth, and Sibeal all have six material presets for the hairstyles:

black, blond, dark brown, grey, red, and reddish brown. There are two material

presets for the Sibeal rosettes: brown plaid and purple plaid. [Bold pattens like

plaids were de rigueur in the 1850s!]

DESCRIPTION

This bundle contains two hairstyles, Bethiah and Izzy, representing two popular options for Western women in the 1820s. Each model is a variation on the Apollo knot, an updo in which the front of the hair was parted in the center, then formed into tight curls or looser ringlets over the ears. The rest of the hair was drawn into a bun near the crown of the head. Bandeaux, circlets, headbands, strings of beads, and other jewelry often decorated the Apollo knots of richer women, but these are simpler styles.

Bethiah and Izzy come with 5 material presets each: black, blond, dark brown, grey, and reddish brown.

LOCATION

After installation, find the items in My Library > People > Genesis 2 Female > Hair > ModernWizard, in subfolders named Bethiah and Izzy.

Messy Bessy Hair for Genesis 2 Female

Messy Bessy Hair for Genesis 2 Female

Daz Studio only

Tested only in Daz Studio Pro 4.6 64 bit.

Created with PhilC’s Hair Designer, this is yet another freebie hairstyle for Genesis 2 Female. The bad hair day goes digital with a bun base and five modular add-ons to make it as messy as you want.

Messy Bessy comes with 3 material presets, and you can easily create your own shades by changing the diffuse. Because Messy Bessy uses hierarchical material presets, you need only select the base when applying a preset; the entire hairstyle will change color automatically.

After installation, you will find Messy Bessy in My Library > People > Genesis 2 Female > Hair > ModernWizard > Messy Bessy. Please note that !MessyBessyBase.duf should be fit to G2F, while all other elements [Back, Bun, Forehead, Left Side and Right Side] should be fit to the base.

Messy Bessy is modeled by Michaela, a custom dialed character. She uses Saiyaness’ lovely Mahala head morph and body texture [available at http://www.daz3d.com/mahala-for-genesis-2-female-s] and various head and body morphs for further shaping.

Use for whatever purposes you like, commercial or non-commercial. Just don’t repackage and call your own. Have fun!

Orszebet Hair for Genesis 2 Female

Orszebet Hair for Genesis 2 Female

Daz Studio only

Tested only in Daz Studio Pro 4.6 64 bit.

Created with PhilC’s Hair Designer, Abalone LLC’s Hair Shop Pro 1.0 and a free tiling texture by MSTene, this is my fourth freebie hairstyle for Genesis 2 Female. Orszebet is a layered wedge cut, longer in front than in back, with a closely cut nape.

After installation, you will find Orszebet in My Library > People > Genesis 2 Female > Hair > ModernWizard > Orszebet.

To use Orszebet, select a G2F figure and load the hair prop. It should autoparent to the selected figure. Orszebet is nonconforming, so you may have to scale and translate to get the best fit. The included styling and adjustment morphs — AdjustNape, CurveAroundFace, Frontlength, FrontWidth, LeftMoveFwd-Back, LeftMove L-R, RightMoveFwd-back, RightMoveL-R and TopBulk — can also help.

Orszebet comes with six material presets: Black, Brown, Green, Magenta, Red and Yellow. You can easily customize your own colors by tinting the greyscale base texture or swapping it out for any seamless hair texture tile of your choosing.

Orszebet is modeled by Michaela, a custom dialed character.

Have fun!

Zabby Hair for Genesis 2 Female

Zabby Hair for Genesis 2 Female

Daz Studio only

Tested only in Daz Studio Pro 4.6 64 bit.

Created with PhilC’s Hair Designer, this is my third freebie hairstyle, Zabby, for Genesis 2 Female. Taking Rococo to new heights, Zabby represents a fanciful homage to the elaborate wigs of France in the mid to late 1700s.

After installation, you will find Bess in My Library > People > Genesis 2 Female > Hair > ModernWizard > Zabby. Please note that !ZabbyMain.duf should be fit to G2F, while all other elements [Braid Loops, Flowers, Side Curls, Spit Curls and TopBunBraids] should be fit to !ZabbyMain.

Zabby goes great with Chris Cox’s freebie Rococo, which I have converted to G2F [http://www.sharecg.com/v/77509/gallery/21/DAZ-Studio/Chris-Coxs-Rococo-Dress-updated-for-G2F].

Bess Hair for Genesis 2 Female

Bess Hair for Genesis 2 Female

Daz Studio only

Tested only in Daz Studio Pro 4.6 64 bit.

Created with PhilC’s Hair Designer, this is my second freebie hairstyle, Bess, for Genesis 2 Female. Inspired by the Queen of Hearts and lofty Rococo edifices of hair, Bess works in royal, fantastical or playful renders.

After installation, you will find Bess in My Library > People > Genesis 2 Female > Hair > ModernWizard > Bess.

Try Bess along with a voluminous gown like Neftis’ Lady de Lioncourt [shown in promo] or Evil Queen, MEC4D’s Queen of Hearts or Chris Cox’s freebie Rococo, which I have converted to G2F [http://www.sharecg.com/v/77509/gallery/21/DAZ-Studio/Chris-Coxs-Rococo-Dress-updated-for-G2F]. Big dresses need big hair!

Aliza Hair for Genesis 2 Female

Aliza for Genesis 2 Female

Daz Studio only

Tested only in Daz Studio Pro 4.6 64 bit.

Created with PhilC’s Hair Designer, this is my first freebie hairstyle, Aliza, a spiky, layered, morphing hair prop straight out of the 1980s for Genesis 2 Female. Perfect for when G2F wants to cosplay Jareth the Goblin King from Labyrinth [the inspiration for this ‘do]! :p

Aliza, which autoparents to G2F’s head, is based on the default figure, so you may need to translate and scale to fit morphed figures. Aliza has a length morph for the back, plus a simple movement morph for each side, as well as a single texture. There are a few material zones for greater customization.

After installation, you will find Aliza in My Library > People > Genesis 2 Female > Hair > ModernWizard > Aliza.

Just so you know, this was a fun experiment, my first with Hair Designer, not a professional-grade endeavor. It’s somewhat messy, geometry-wise [especially where I crudely deleted all those excess polys], but I hope you can have some fun playing with it nonetheless.

Use for whatever purposes you like, commercial or non-commercial. Just don’t repackage and call your own. Have fun!
