A happy ending of sorts, but I feel like the story’s also just beginning! Thanks for telling it and seeing it through to the end! I’ve enjoyed it immensely!

I think that’s a nice ending for this episode! She’s completed this stage of the journey, hopefully we’ll catch up with Isabel soon!

Wait… whaaaat? “The End of the Whole Damn Story”????

But… but… you’ve been posting these installments for years! In fact, I just went back and looked, and you posted the first installment of Zombieville three days after I joined this forum. This story has been a constant during my entire time here!

I’m curious about how you feel about the story wrapping up. Is there a sense of relief that it’s over with? Or will you feel a sense of loss now that something that you’ve been working with for years, off and on, is finished?

Will you be taking a break from photo stories, or is there another one in the works?

And what of the Z-ville cast? Are they assembled on a shelf display? Will they be relegated to storage bins to await a possible return of the franchise? Or are they headed to eBay or the dumpster? Like Isabel, is the author-photographer moving on to a new phase in life?

It’s gonna be different around here without the Z-ville installments.

Our story ends, but a new chapter of Isabel’s life has just begun. Well done!

Another chapter ends while a new one begins. I understand your desire to move onto other things and 1/6 is a very small community in which to showcase one’s creative talent and efforts.

I’ve been trying to nail down a few simple story ideas, but they keep changing and writing is not my strong point. My current project Voodoo is a far cry from the Blackwaters police procedural I’d originally envisioned, and most of the 1/6 props and sets for that are simply a write off. (Used customized 21st Century police MD-500 helicopter complete with crew, landing dolly, and ATV tow vehicle anyone?)

I’ve decided to focus on one project and combine a lot of what I already have. The Band, Stage, and Bar seem an ideal marriage of concepts, so I will work on my Voodoo Blues Bar diorama this year and continue to sit back and marvel at how much I’ve invested never to recover.

Luckily none of us seem to get into 1/6 with the idea we’d ever get rich by taking advantage of reselling it. Never mind modified figures, even stock figures and accessories are near impossible to resell. I think we do this for the love, and thankfully so, as at the end of it all our beloved 1/6 figures and items will likely end up unwanted in several large dusty boxes before their eventual journey to Goodwill via our surviving relatives who frankly just never understood our obsession with dolls.

Best of luck in your next venture MW. I for one have enjoyed following Zville and your work always served as an inspiration for me to keep on working at 1/6. In part you are responsible for my throwing away remarkable sums of money with on-line 1/6 purchases, Lol.

Seriously though I hope you will continue to hang around and weigh in. We seem to have lost so many good members and I often fear we’ve seen the end of Figurvore…

Thank you for Zombieville! I have enjoyed the characters, their antics, and their brightly colorful world.

I enjoy your short skits with the Shalka dorks, they are great.

I am relatively new to the forum, and while I am not here all the time, I make sure to drop in, post updates, and enjoy the 1/6 goodness!

Given that I recently got out of a really terrible relationship that left me with a lot of debt, I am not buying 1/6 right now, but that may change! Certainly I would love more bodies, maybe I an set up trades…

Anyway, I really like 1/6 and enjoy photostories a great deal. All the best with all your projects, ModernWizard!

Congratulations on this wonderful project, and thanks for all the fun! It really has been a pleasure to follow your characters.

Yes, I will also miss your stories. But I can certainly understand your need to do more. Please keep us unformed.

Excellent finale! I’ve enjoyed getting to know your characters. Bad stuff happens, but life goes on. Isabel and Carter have each other, and a supportive community, and somehow things will be okay.

Congratulations on finishing two novels! It only makes sense to focus on what you love. (Hah, I should take my own advice… ::) ) You have a talent for writing with humour, candidness, and current social relevance. Best wishes for your future in writing and publishing. 🙂
