Night and Day’s parents, the Elder Witches, are hundreds of years old and huge nerds.This is the Magister, whose interests are cooking, designing clothes, making likenesses [dolls] of the people he loves, and dressing like a villain from a classic TV show. [The apron was designed by the Hippie and constructed by the Stylist specifically to clash with his preference for brooding black and purple and blue.]The magical oatmeal is green, but that doesn’t affect the taste.
Nevertheless, it needs a little something.The Magister calls in one of his spouses, the Stylist. Her interests include styling hair, designing clothes, exploiting the rumor mill, and giving the Magister shit.
The Magister’s other spouse appears. It’s the Hippie! Their interests include plants and fungi, quoting Emily Dickinson, and losing things in their pockets.
“It’s delicious!” they cheer.“Wait…why are you touching me??”“It’s a hug!”
