Drove across the state to Lyrajean’s new condo on Saturday, June 3rd, and spent the night. We left very early on the 4th for Sturbridge, MA, and the doll/teddy/miniature show at the Sturbridge Host Hotel. We took about two and a half hours to get there. We turned around and had a late lunch on the way back and arrive around dinner time back at Lyrajean’s house.
Me and my associate.Sign inside hotel.Toon Silence and Lyrajean’s doll Polly, being held on top of the sign by Lyrajean.I didn’t bother with pictures at the show. If I had starting taking photos, I’d still be there! Silence at the 110 Grill, thinking she’s going to order for herself. That was a really big pulled pork sandwich.Mini artist teddy by Linda Kunz named “Jessey.” Best use of unusual plush color and star embellishments! I paid $25.00 for this.Cottage Collectibles Maxie. I think it’s a mouse. $10.00.I did not intend to buy a 1:6 scale kidsy, but I really like this very early Madame Alexander [on right]. This is before the faces got chunky and pursy in a bad way. She has something of the air of the Kewpie doll in her features. I like her surprised expression and messed-up hair. $33.00.The dorklets got a WHOLE-ASS SWINGSET! This seems to be from 1955, a Vogue product constructed for 8″ Ginny dolls. The dorklets are between 8″ and 10″, but I thought it could work for them. The toy came with its original box and instructions, and everything was in very good condition. I paid $75.00, which I think is a steal, especially with the related packaging.
