I am now attempting to cook beans with the following recipe.
- 1 lb. dry black beans, lightly rinsed and drained, not soaked or boiled
- 1 tsp cumin
- 4 tbsp minced garlic
- salt
- 1 small can diced jalapenos
- 1 can diced salsa style tomatoes
- 6 c hot water
Put all in large pot. Crank to 7 until boiling, then down to 3 to simmer for 2 hours. See if food results.
EDIT: I feel like I put in too much water. :C
EDIT 2: Actually, most of the water simmers off.
