The Lura Project: testing body, eyes, wig

Just for the heck of it, I stuck Lura's head on Araminthe's body. Araminthe is a Boy and Girl [B&G] Doll Burrysa snarling. She is a 60cm doll in grey resin. As far as resin matches go, B&G is on the paler side of grey, so it doesn't look that bad with Lura's rose grey head. She would definitely need a longer neck if she were to use this body, though!

Anyway, time to try eyes and wigs [well, a single wig]. Here's Lura in the 14mm Creamsoda steampunk eye and the Volks metallic pink eye.

And here she is with the Soom 14mm pink/pink eye.

Today's conclusions: Now, instead of getting an Illusion Spirit body for Lura, I'm thinking of a B&G Dolls body. I love the engineering, poseability, solidity, smoothness and light weight of their 60cm girl body, and the resin match ain't too bad. Of course, it's much more expensive than the Illusion Spirit one, but I'd rather go with something that I know and like.

I'm not sure which organic eye works best for Lura. I think that a lot depends on the rest of her palette, particularly her wig.

Regarding this wig, I love the colors, but the style is all wrong. I can't believe that a mecha siren who flies around a lot would have a smoothly bobbed helmet of hair. Furthermore, I think the bob would cover up too much of her wingy ears! I like the combination of cool blue and hot pink, but I think I will pursue a custom fur wig instead.
