The Lura Project: parts on Araminthe’s body

I just acquired a pair of Soom Euclase dead hands [thanks, tygati!], so, this morning, I decided to see how my current assemblage of parts fits on Lura's proposed body, for which Araminthe is currently standing in.

We already know how Lura's head looks on this body. The neck needs lengthening, but, now that I'm looking at it again, I think the resin match is fine. People have different colors all over their bodies anyway. :p

I'm also really preferring the Volks metallic pink acrylic Dollfie eye over the Soom pink/pink eye.

Here's the mecha arm from HTTDolls with the Soom Euclase dead hand on the end. The shoulder socket of the mecha arm, made for a more robust doll, does not really fit in the shoulder socket. The wrist ball of the Euclase hand, being rather small, fits very well in the mecha arm wrist well and should have no problem fitting in the delicate B&G Dolls wrist well.

Anyway, I actually like the fact that Lura's mecha arm is larger and a bit longer than her organic arm. It connotes experimental, somewhat clunky technology. And I also really like her oversized, clawed hands; they add to the impression of her not being fully human. Plus the Euclase hands are beautifully sculpted.

Whoops. When I tried to put one of Lura's talon legs on Araminthe's body, I discovered that the Soom Galena knee ball is way too wide for the B&G Dolls knee socket. However, there's plenty of resin to remove from either side of the ball, so this is a relatively uncomplicated mod. I don't know whether I will do it myself or pay someone else. It does seem kind of silly to pay all that money on commissions + postage both ways just for some resin removal.
