I decided that Lura needs goggles to protect her eyes during her flights, so I'm commissioning Eileen at Silverbeam on Etsy to design a pair of 3-D printed, nylon plastic goggles to my specs. I gave her necessary measurements today, as well as pictures relating to my concept:

Overall, the concept blends the silhouette of cat's eye glasses with the details of stylized wings. I envision stylized feathers coming off the outer edges of each side of the frame, which are thicker than the inner edges of the frames.

Anyway, I also got some plastic sculpting tools. I think I may also get a Volks Cera-Canna, primarily because I've heard nothing but amazing reports about it.
