Besides hosting the monthly VTDL meetup yesterday, I also worked a bit on dolls today. Honorine got wiring in her limbs, as well as a comfy outfit of pajamas and slippers.

I plan to make her a little nightcap too, and then she'll be finished.

In other news, I acquired some seasonal props for next month’s Christmas/holiday meetup of VTDL. At Big Lots yesterday I found sets of Christmas scarves and hats to put on wine bottles. It’s an odd concept, but I thought that the hats might fit dolls with heads of 6-7inch circumference. At the very least, I reasoned as I picked up two sets, the scarves would work for my 1:3 scale populations. Much to my delight, both scarves and hats fit my bald 1:3ers [after I cut some of the lining from the hats].

At Goodwill today I scored a ring of fake poinsettias, a teddy bear in winter garb [not shown], a plastic container saying MERRY CHRISTMAS WITH LOVE [not shown], and a small toy chest with MERRY CHRISTMAS on it. Selected items appear below.

"Merry frickin' Christmas, ya schmucks." Araminthe sports the faux poinsettia wreath, along with one of the decorative scarves for wine bottles.

"Uh...you *do* know that I'm more of a Halloween person than a Christmas person, right?" Thalia wears a wine-bottle hat and holds a Vermont Teddy Bear ornament.

"Ooooohhh, new toys!" Submit checks out the miniature toy chest.

Excitement is short-lived. "Whaddaya mean -- they're all stuck in the box?!"
