Missy went in another direction than expected…

In prep for my upcoming visit to @natalunasans house, I embarked on an enthusiastic stint of customizing. This included Missy, a doll who has been picked up and put down in various forms for several years. She, like many of my fan interpretations of DW characters, transferred over Hardship, but I never thought to finish my doll of her because frankly I like Harry better. But, if I want to do any photostories involving the Saxon family, Silence’s parents will likely appear, so I should really have a Missy doll.

Because Missy is a rather short character, I plopped her on a Playmates Toys Billie Eilish doll, which also provided a decent color match. Only problem — no upper arm swivels.
I really didn’t relish the idea of adding hair to this sculpt, so I ripped a homemade mohair wig off of some doll I had gotten in a trade. Inspired by the colors, I began to pull together Missy’s equally comfortable and obnoxious look.
I was really really really uninterested in a very detailed faceup, so I started off with this. When I showed it to @natalunasans, she asked if Missy was done as is! I had planned on bright red lipstick, but then I decided not to mess with her current look. Her source material is very pointy and colorful, but mine is messier and softer…or at least that’s the impression she likes to cultivate.
