Ever since I saw Spyfall, the series 11 opener for Doctor Who, and developed an infatuation with interest in the latest incarnation of the Master as played by Sacha Dhawan, I’ve been working on a 1:6 scale version of him to join all my other DW dorks in 1:6 scale.
@natalunasans and I went looking online for headsculpts to use as a base for Dhawan Master, hereinafter called the Spymaster, since that’s what he goes by in Spyfall. A Hasbro 12″ Jafar, made after the 2019 live-action Disney Aladdin, looked promising. It’s vaguely inspired by the actor Marwan Kenzari, who played Jafar, but it’s Disney as interpreted by Hasbro, so it doesn’t look like him at all.
A few things attracted me to this sculpt. First off, I have to admit that the default skintone and facial hair gave me confidence that this head could work as for a character with the same skintone and similar facial hair. Second, the brows, nose, and sides of face were perfect. Mostly, though, it was the HUGE EYES. Sacha Dhawan has objectively large eyes, and so does this sculpt. That’s what decided me.
