Pippilotta gets new hair!

After hanging out bald for a while, Pippilotta finally got some new hairs recently. I used hot glue to stick small bunches of mohair to her head.

Because I wanted to pull her hair into two braids, one at either side of her head, my gluing pattern included a center part, as well as separate bangs swept back from the face. Vivid orange dye on the mohair is visible, as are traces of hot glue where the bases of the bunches of hair touch Pippilotta’s forehead.
These next two pictures show how I disguised the visible hot glue. First I painted it a reddish brown to blend in with the hair fibers. Then I styled some long loose bangs around her head, behind her ears, joined in their own separate ponytail at the nape. This gives the semblance of her tucking bangs behind her ears.

With her hair braided, Pippilotta poses with my mini Pippi doll in my toy store set. Submit at left looks very interested!
